About Glorybound

Here's your chance to get to know the men that are Glorybound.

Glorybound consists of five young men: Jonathan Friesen, Dave Rempel, Frank Penner, David Friesen, and Mark Elias.

The ministry of Glorybound has taken us to Senior Homes, Prisons, Weddings, Funerals, and various summer music festivals.

Sharing Christ’s love and wonderful plan of salvation through song and sharing is our greatest joy.

About Us
Jonathan

Jonathan Friesen (Bass)

I live south of Morden where I farm together with my Dad. My wife Karen and I have three children Krista, Lucas and Cheryl.
My love for southern Gospel music and my love to sing for the Lord is what got me started with these guys. I feel there is tremendous opportunity through singing and sharing, and am happy to be a part of something that will last into eternity.

Dave

Dave Rempel (Baritone)

I live in Reinfeld Manitoba, along with my wife and three children. I feel honoured to be able to serve the Lord through the ministry of music. I enjoy what we do immensely and am excited about the future of Glorybound. I have met so many wonderful people and thank you all for supporting us in the past.

Frank

Frank Penner (Lead)

My wife Diana and I have two children Britney and Tyson. We live in Winkler Manitoba. I am occupied at an Agricultural Dealership as a partsman. I really enjoy singing Southern Gospel Music and feel that music in the hands of the Lord is a powerful ministry. My wish is that our music can be a blessing to people that listen to it and that the glory and honour will be given to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people; and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations. Psalm 108:3

David

David Friesen (lead)

My wife Susan and I, along with our daughter Kelly and son Jesse, live on a small farm yard near Winkler Manitoba. Music is a big part of my daily life, if I’m not singing to music in my truck or at home, I’ve got a song going through my mind. I believe everyone should have a song in their heart.
My hope for Glorybound is that the songs and the sharing will stir the soul to a closer walk with our Lord Jesus Christ.

Mark

Mark Elias (Tenor)

My wife Margaret and I, along with our four children live on a farm about twenty kilometers north of Morden, Manitoba. We farm together with my wife’s family. I also run a small welding shop.
I strongly believe that Gospel Music may be the only “preacher” some people have heard that might point them to the saving grace of Jesus Christ. It is a joy for me to be a part of something like Glorybound ministering to these people, but also to be an encouragement to others who are in the Faith. May we all be shining lights for Christ and be able to say: we are Glorybound!
